Embroidered jackets and button down shirts are great forms of advertising and a popular choice among clients this time of year. When you’re shopping for shirts and jackets, you have a wide variety of fabrics, styles and sizes to choose from. In a store, all the choices are laid out in front of you so you can easily select the option that best suits your personal style.

When you’re thinking about custom embroidery, it’s a little less simple. You might have plenty of options, but if you can’t see them it’s pretty hard to choose the one that’s best for you. We don’t think that’s fair, which is why we are laying some of those options out on the table today. Now you can choose your custom embroidery style just like you would choose a shirt in a store.

LEFT OR RIGHT CHEST

Okay, we’ll go ahead and state the obvious here. The left or right chest is by far the most common embroidery location on a jacket or shirt. It’s simple, classic, and professional. Basically, if it were a person, it would be the person you take home to meet your mother.

Sleeve

The left and right shoulders are also very popular locations because they’re great for advertising, and here’s why: It’s less awkward for someone to stare at your shoulder from afar than it is for someone to stare at your chest. People may not take the time to read the logo on your chest for fear of making you uncomfortable. However, if it’s on your sleeve, they’re free to stare as long as they like.

Upper Back

Embroidery on your upper back is all about personal preference. Some like their embroidery in the center of the back, while others choose to place their logo on one shoulder blade or the other. Another common use for upper back embroidery is displaying a web address or full company name.

Yoke

The yoke, or nape of the neck, is a discreet location for those who want personalization but nothing flashy. It’s also a popular location for athletes to put their jersey number for a couple of reasons. First, the number allows the players to identify which jacket is whose. Second, the number lets the fans identify players on the sidelines during the game.

Cuff

Embroidering shirt sleeve cuffs is becoming more and more popular as a gift item for events like weddings. Brides give their bridesmaids custom embroidered shirts to wear on the day of their wedding and to have as a keepsake afterward. Popular embroidery ideas for cuffs: date, “bridesmaid,” “bride,” “maid of honor,” etc.

Did you know the art of embroidery has been around for centuries? We like to think that’s because of it’s simple elegance. With embroidery, the smallest things can make a big impact. For example, what separates a basic collared shirt and a Ralph Lauren Polo? A little embroidered horse.

A few stitches are all it takes for the world to see and recognize a logo. So, when you’re looking for a way to show your brand to the world, why not choose what works? Custom embroidery is classic, elegant and makes a statement. All you have to do is select the items that work for you, and don’t worry, you have plenty of options.

Check out some of the ways you can utilize custom embroidery services:

Gifts

One of the easiest ways to turn a simple gift into a thoughtful gift is through embroidery. Personalize a simple scarf by adding your friend’s name or monogram.

Groups and OrganizationsCornerstoneImpressionsGreekJackets

Stitching your organization’s logo or name onto everyday apparel items such as jackets, hats and laptop bags is a classic way to showcase your organization on the go.

Businesses and Teams

Businesses, sports teams, and schools often wear polo style shirts with their logos embroidered. This is a perfect casual look that’s comfortable all day.

Personal Items and Decorations

Embroidery isn’t only for apparel, it can also be used to decorate. Show off your favorite quotes and designs in your home or at the office. For wall art, frame a piece of pretty fabric embroidered with your favorite quote, and hang it up. Pillow cases with embroidered designs make great accent pieces in the home. You could even give your favorite tote bag a personal touch by embroidering it with a cool design.

Hats

Hats are probably the most requested item in our embroidery department. Hats come in all different styles and colors and they’re perfect for representing your brands, organizations, teams, businesses, and anything else you can think of!

Now that you’ve seen some ways you can benefit from custom embroidery services, consider your own groups, organizations, businesses and friends! Which of the items above would you most like to see your brand featured on? The sky is the limit, so start brainstorming, and as always, if you have any questions about custom embroidery, we are happy to answer them.
